Raineses

Youth and Family / Singles Ministry

Mister and Crystal feel blessed to serve in the youth and family ministry with God's help to connect His people to His purpose.

Connect is one of those words that has many meanings, but for the Raineses, it means to connect to God, connect to each other, and connect to our community. Crystal and I are connectors and during the pandemic, although challenging, that is exactly what we did and continue to do in the youth and family ministry. As a ministry, we were blessed to meet online through zoom with middle schoolers and teens, not just connecting to a screen but connecting to people and connecting to God. For example, Kyle and Ruth Harrington, who are nothing less than incredible, are serving in the middle school ministry. In their way to connect, they have had food competition nights to keep the kids engaged with creative cooking skills and each other. In addition, the teen ministry connected through prayer night with a purpose. This included prayer nights that incorporated art or music. These and many other events were accomplished virtually and through the power of God’s love for children. Our God is so intentional that not even a pandemic can stop miracles from happening. Miracles of teens surrendering their life to God. As a ministry, we were blessed to baptize five teens into Christ. This happened before and during the pandemic, but all in the same year. Our God can do anything but fail!
