Frequently Asked Questions

  • Thanks to existing savings, guaranteed loans, and generous early commitments from members, the roof renovations is completed and renovation have already begun in the Bleu Room, sanctuary, convent, and rectory. Reimbursement grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for physical security enhancements, replacement of windows, and doors can begin immediately. We have cost estimates from Harvey Construction, and they have agreed to renovate in phases.

  • Your commitment to Greater Impact is a decision you’ll make through prayer and discernment. Not all gifts will be equal in size, but they can be equal in sacrifice.

  • We welcome all gifts from friends and family members. Send them the link to the Greater Impact link and encourage them to give. They can include your name in the donation form.

  • Your gift to Greater Impact is above and beyond what you give weekly to the operating budget missions contribution, which funds our operating costs and global missions.

  • You can make your pledge on this platform, and pledges are payable over one year. We ask that you make the first payment on your commitment on Sunday, February …

  • We anticipate that maintenance costs will stay the same or fall, as more energy-efficient buildings reduce utility bills. Our operating budget is in a healthy place, so we do not expect this project to place undue strain on GBC finances.

  • If the need to take out a loan to cover project costs arises, the congregation will vote on how to move forward. We also have the option to defer certain improvements.
