How will the Greater Impact Campaign be used?

 

Your donation will be combined with other donations to more fully meet the needs of the church, the community, and the world. Some of the high priority needs we have identified include:

  • Replace the roof and gutters – Completed!

  • Modernize and beautify the sanctuary, including improved lighting and stage

  • New flooring and chairs in the sanctuary

  • Replace stained-glass windows in the sanctuary

  • New acoustic treatment and sound systems

  • Replace HVAC and electrical systems

  • Update the children's ministry classrooms and meeting rooms

  • Update the basement meeting rooms and the Bleu Room banquet hall 

  • Update the former convent and rectory building  

  • Update outdoor pipes and plumbing

  • Facility maintenance and church operations

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Thanks to existing savings, guaranteed loans, and generous early commitments from members, the roof renovations is completed and renovation have already begun in the Bleu Room, sanctuary, convent, and rectory. Reimbursement grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for physical security enhancements, replacement of windows, and doors can begin immediately. We have cost estimates from Harvey Construction, and they have agreed to renovate in phases.

  • Your commitment to Greater Impact is a decision you’ll make through prayer and discernment. Not all gifts will be equal in size, but they can be equal in sacrifice.

  • We welcome all gifts from friends and family members. Send them the link to the Greater Impact link and encourage them to give. They can include your name in the donation form.

  • Your gift to Greater Impact is above and beyond what you give weekly to the operating budget missions contribution, which funds our operating costs and global missions.

  • You can make your pledge on this platform, and pledges are payable over one year. We ask that you make the first payment on your commitment on Sunday, February …

  • We anticipate that maintenance costs will stay the same or fall, as more energy-efficient buildings reduce utility bills. Our operating budget is in a healthy place, so we do not expect this project to place undue strain on GBC finances.

  • The intent of the Board and church leadership is to ensure we remain fiscally responsible with the funds God has given us. We will prioritize critical renovation projects to ensure safety and functionality. If we are unable to raise the funds needed, the Board will inform the congregation and determine how to remain fiscally responsible.
