Replace the Roof and Gutters: The slate roof, known for its durability, has degraded over time and now requires replacement. Currently, there are several water leaks, and moisture penetration is damaging the roof substructure. The water gutter system also needs repair, with several sections broken and moisture affecting the cinder block and concrete walls. Completed!
Update and Beautify the Sanctuary, Including Improved Lighting and Stage: The lighting is old and requires replacement. The sanctuary stage area will be redesigned to include large stage lights and LED monitors for displaying song lyrics, scripture readings, and video presentations.
New Flooring and Chairs: The sanctuary needs to be re-carpeted throughout the entire space. Currently, there are hard wooden pews that would be replaced with cushioned individual chairs, which would increase capacity.
Replace Stained-Glass Windows: The old stained-glass windows need to be replaced as some are cracked, weathered, and not energy efficient.
New Acoustic Treatment and Sound Systems: The cinder-block walls result in poor sound quality and noise vibration. To improve audio conditions, the sanctuary needs an acoustic treatment and a new audio design.
Replace HVAC and Electrical Systems: This project will modernize our church building by replacing outdated HVAC and electrical systems with energy-efficient alternatives. This will reduce our environmental impact and lower operating costs, allowing us to allocate more resources to our mission.
Update the Children's Ministry Classrooms and Meeting Rooms: We aim to revitalize our children's ministry spaces, creating bright, engaging classrooms and meeting rooms that foster a welcoming and inspiring environment for our young members to learn and grow in faith.
Update the basement Meeting Rooms and Bleu Room: We are seeking to renovate our basement meeting rooms and the 'Bleu Room' banquet hall to create versatile, multifunctional spaces that can accommodate a wide range of church and community activities, from small group meetings to large gatherings.
Update the Convent: The convent will be transformed into a vibrant community hub, offering a diverse range of spaces for retreat, meeting, social engagement, and catering to a thriving teen community with a dedicated game room. The space will provide a welcoming environment for individuals and groups to connect, learn, and grow.
Update the Rectory: This project will repurpose our rectory into a dual-purpose facility, offering modern office spaces for our ministry staff and comfortable rental units with shared kitchens and family spaces to generate additional revenue for the church.
Update Outdoor Pipes and Plumbing: Our church building's outdoor pipes and plumbing are in disrepair, posing a risk to the building's structural integrity and the safety of our congregation. This project will replace these critical systems, ensuring the long-term viability of our building and the continued operation of our ministry.
These improvements will help foster a warmer and more welcoming gathering space and worship experience. It will allow our faithful members to continue to focus on our most important mission: Loving God, loving our neighbors, and serving our community.
